You made right choice by checking it out with another shop. Don't get me wrong, but I have never heard anything good about vertex. I even called vertex once to ask some questions, and whoever answered it didn't seem to know anything. I think it is the problem with installation. Your car is too messed up. I'm guessing he put wrong springs or didnt' set the perch right.
