The switch goes inline with the line to the ECU from that fuse. It's like pulling the fuse, but you don't have to lose backup power to the radio (and have to redo the code, presets, etc.).
Cool there you are... I've been meaning to ask you... can you use any kind of switch from radio shack? I saw a SPST Automotive switch but I wasn't sure which kind is which. And when you say its not the proper way to reset the ECU are you talking about the switch or pulling the fuse? Thanks for the idea though, good idea.
