I just installed an amp today and a box on my 98 SH and I used a cigarette lighter/charger outlet's "power" wire to work with my amp and left outlet work the same way it was working. Simply connect to it. It is easier to run a wire under your unit instead of drilling firewall or look for a tiny tunnel to access the batterry. You still need a Monster (or similar) cable with a fuse to connect. Also you can use any speaker's wire (just one! ) to connect a "remote" wire to your amp. Sound remains the same and no harm to speakers or amp or outlet.
