Please help: Solve ABS Code #1
I pulled a ABS code 1 (motor over-run) for a 4th gen. Is the ABS motor really supposed to run for a short time when you have the car running for a couple minutes because I have never heard it running before? The ABS reservoir is filled to the max line with fresh fluid. No problems with braking or anything after I changed to BBK in front and new calipers/lines in the rear with new properly bled fluid throughout.
I followed the Helms and tried to bleed/relieve the pressure by loosening the nipple bolt attached to a drain tube but I can't seem to get much fluid to come out. There was just may be 10 drops and a bunch of bubbles and that's it. I tried to do it with and without the car being on and I can't get a single drop anymore after that. I jumped the ABS motor relay in the fuse box for 10 seconds a couple times and the motor runs smooth and quiet so the motor is fine.
Can it be the pressure switch that's gone bad or the ABS relay or am I missing something else to do??? Is there a way to make the fluid come out by bypassing the pressure switch?
Please help!
Thanks so much!!!
