Any motor is good as long as you take care of it. If you plan on hittin vtec everytime you take off..expect oil to burn and your gas mileage to suck, also expect to have issues later on. If your just going to drive normally and every now and then get on it then you shouldnt have any issues, unless there is something already wrong with the motor from the previous owner.
