You might have issues with your amp overheating if you mount it in that orientation. The heatsink only works if its mounted flat on its bottom. This is assuming it doesn't have a fan.

I spent about 4 hours trying to put that damn spring back in and it is near impossible without the tool that Honda sells to do it. I got it to throw sparks while shooting around in the trunk a few times before giving up on it.
