my shocks don't rust much, stock and first set of koni's that is. but i bought a second set of koni's used off a dude here who lives by the sea or something and he did not install them well at all and they rusted all over the perch notches and where it slips into the fork. those notches is the last place i want rusting you know.
i'll just have them sand blasted and paint it with some rust bullet and paint. done deal. thx all

That should be fine, I'm just worried about the heat from the powder coat messing up a perfectly good set of shocks. You have to protect the seals and the rod of the shock from the sand.
