Anyone here powder coat your shocks?

I've gotten lots of recommendations for and against powder coating shocks and I'm left without a definite answer.

So I was wondering if anyone has hands on experience with having shocks powder coated. Does the high heat from baking negatively affect your shock in any way? did the seals burn up and fail?

Only reason I still consider powder coating is because i got a deal for $30 for all 4 shocks. Otherwise i'd just paint it myself with some rust bullet and spray paint (thx vin)

by the way, they are koni shocks. if you have koni's you know how easy the paint chips.
