Yeah, well ideally you coat the parts in it before they were installed or just when you're ready to bolt them down.
I watch Horsepower TV on Spike TV every Saturday and whenever they're doing an engine build, they're always slobbering every part up with that Torco assembly lube and talking about the benefits.
I suppose if the head has been used you can just pour some motor oil on it... I recommend Royal Purple of course
