I would look at the axle again, but it seems to be the rear that is the problem at this point...

sway bar seems snug, rear suspension looks good.. bearings are good... ball joints are new...

the weird thing to me is that the problem developed a couple weeks after I got the car back from the engine/tranny/suspension swap... it was not like this when I got it back and my shop can't find a problem they can fix..

Ken, they tugged, pulled, and fought with it on the rack and nothing seemed loose to them... they work almost exclusively on hondas and acuras, so if they are stumped I don't stand much of a chance of figuring it out. I've tried softening up the rear struts, they are now on the softest setting but the problem remains (seems not to occur as quickly with softer setup)

I'm all outta ideas....
