well if we go the dual filament route, (2) would alternate between brighter and dimmer (the way rear parking lights light up with teh lights on, but get brighter when you hit the brakes)
and (1) would just flash on and off.
if we just went with chopping (2) off and splciing it directly into (1) it would behave directly the way (1) does..... on with the parking lights, and then on and off with the turn signals.
