Well it's a no-go guys
you all would have cried to see what kind of shape this poor car was in. Our first clue was the battery acid chalked ALL over the entire left side of the engine bay
...we could barely get a ground on it to jump start the car. Second, we were told it was just a blown gasket, but the knock when we started her up was the tell-tale rod knock. ALSO, the interior was pretty shot...I laughed because he told me it was in pretty great condition on the inside and out. Well if that was great condition, mine must be MINT lol. Now I need to find another Si...I want air conditioning dammit

Oh, and it was black. He said he won't accept less than $1600, so we said GOOD LUCK with that and walked. I wouldn't pay over $1000 for that poor mess.
