LOL yeah thats what I thought too,very redneck! Anyways I'm located in St.Louis,Missouri. I thought about getting a compressor at a junkyard also, but really the car is for my dad and he insist on getting a new or remanufactured one. I found a remanfactured one on ebay for $150 that includes a lifetime warranty as long as I install a receiver/drier as well. So we'll prolly go with that eventually(pops is still waiting on his tax returns...
) Also I don't no if its true or not, but my cousin says the seals or something go bad sometimes if you buy one thats been siting for awhile. I just wonder if it be worth it to get one for $30 or so from a junkyard or wait for the ebay one, and how long do these compressor usually usually last? If it sounds like a good idea I might just do that. Also the car has 130,000 and I bought it from a friend for $500!....so we really can't complain either way
...I'm also still waiting on another 93' si 5 spd I might buy for $1500, its suppose to be built pretty well, and the guy just got married and had a kid, so he doesnt have time to mess with it...
