Here's my experience with Paypal 2 weeks ago. Somehow a hacker got my password and charged $880.00. The charges were to buyhitscheap.com and fulltraffic.com, these web sites guarantee visits to your web site (which I don't even have). I went through the complete buyer complaint processs with Paypal. Paypal claimed that the purchases were legitimate, boy was I pissed. I finally got in touch with Paypal directly to let them know that I didn't even have a web site and I did not make these purchases. They told me all I could do was to try to get in touch with both of the companies that were paid to see if they would nicely give me a refund. Neither of the companies would reply back to me. I talked directly with Paypal telling them I would have no choice but to close my account of many years with them.
With some stern Paypal encouragement to both of the companies, all of my money was deposited back into my checking account. I now have a Paypal security key which generates a new digital password every 30 seconds. This also works for Ebay, I use the same key.
This was a big learning experience for me because all of my checking and savings accounts could have been drained. I now change my password about once a month and I use the security key.
