I agree with finding someone else to help you with it. If you have a friend or someone who has done it before ask them to help you and buy them lunch or something .

I got my first stereo installed at best buy, and they did a good job you just pay a lot for it. I installed my second stereo myself, and two amps, component speakers and a small sub after that. I learned new lessons each time doing it, so I feel a lot more comfortable doing it now! Luckily this was on my previous car that I didn't care about as much as my prelude. As long as you read up I would still recommend trying it yourself, it's really not that hard. If you want it to be perfect the first time though, you might as well pay a shop to do it.
