There are already some threads covering this. Do a search for them.
My experience: There are only a handful of speakers that will fit the 5G front doors with little modification. If you don't want to do alot of cutting and fab work, then I recommend the Polk db6500 components, or the newer
db6501 (which actually have a smaller top mount depth). I run the db6500's and they work well. I still need to Dynamat, haven't done that yet.
If you haven't already started doing research, the
top mount depth is going to be your biggest limiter. There isn't much room in the speaker baffle in the door. This will most likely need to be cut out, and then hopefully your speakers won't interfere with the metal bracket(s) right behind the speaker. The db6500 only requires cutting the rearmost part of the baffle out to clear the woofer magnet, and you will need to do some minimal modding of the tweeter bracket to get the tweeter to fit. Then you will need to find a nice spot to put the crossover, actually Honda already put a nice spot for it...a little pocket on the back of the door panel.
