3. 99's have keyless entry (standard), the 97/98 does not.
4. 99's have A/C filters, 97/98 does not.
5. 99's have different fuel tanks, 97/98 has 2 less vent tubes
6. 99's have big evap purge canister (square one with 2 big hoses on the bottom) 97 has a single small one (about 1/4 the size) - Did not met OBD2 standards and Honda got suied (reason why some hondas got extended warranties)
7. 99's have different oil pumps (re-designed) sh/base are the same
8. 99's More color's available.
9. 99's engine gained 5 horsepower.

My 98 has an antenna built in the rear glass

I've never seen a 5gen w/ an external antenna (or even a 4gen now that I think of it)
The a/c filter and cabin filter you talk about are the same thing.
You can have keyless entry installed for 100-150 bucks if you want it.
colors, meh...
the 5hp thing has been contested ever since 1999.
I guess someone recently suggested that the chassis on the 99-01 were stiffer, but I've never seen any concrete evidence.
