Newbie doing T-Belt replacement

I am the VERY proud owner of a sick lil 92 Lude. I was driving at about 40 MPH and about 2500 rpm or less and lost the timing belt... I immeadiatly knew what it was by the sound of the issue so I pushed in the clutch immeadiatly and coasted to the side of the road. I "Supposedly" had the engine replaced at 98,000 mi (prev owner ran it dry--no oil, etc) Currently have about 36,000 on the "new" engine and 134K on the trannie.

Anyways: (I'm long winded.. :sorry We are finally taking the top off and trying to discover what needs to be repaired.

(immitating the voice of Jamie from Mythbusters WELL... THERE's Your Problem!

PArts List so far:
-One timing belt..
-P-13 Timing belt cover..(has a big ol Gash in it)
-water pump
-belt tensioner
-valve cover seal
-hi performance Spark Plugs

-and I have thought about upgrading or replacing the alternator with a rebuilt or rewound one since it will be accessible??? (I run about 1200W stereo too)
