Just for clarity, the part of the engine the gasket seals is on the opposite side of the engine from the oil pump. The oil pump is on the front of the engine.

I haven't found anything that works as good as Hondabond HT. I've used it for years without any problems.

If you want to use a "regular" oil pan gasket, convert to a 4Gen oil pan and gasket. You can't use the 5Gen engine stiffener. You'll have to use the 4Gen stiffener and flywheel cover.

How long are you supposed to let the hondabond set for before you mate the two parts together? How long do you have to let it cure before you can run the engine?
