I run an Endyn modified oil pump on my track car, and I just built an engine for DR with an Endyn modified oil pump. The oil pressure is incredible, and he doesn't even shim the relief valve. It's just that much more efficient.

If you're worried about the oil pump gear, buy a CircuitWorx gear, and a new OEM housing. Have Endyn mod the pump, and while you're at it, have them go over the CircuitWorx piece to make sure it fits perfectly.

However, if you're running a solid crank pulley, or making tons of power without a proper damper, no aftermarket pump driven directly off the snout of the crank is going to last. If you're really concerned about the oil pump failing, buy a Peterson dry sump setup. However you won't be able to run AC (the pump resides where the AC compressor sits), and it'll set you back about $3,500, IIRC.

After working with Larry a few times over the years, I've learned he has more important things to do than run a web site. Unfortunately (or fortuantely, depending on how you look at it), we're the same way. I don't think many people would buy a complete engine from us based on the web site!
