the main issues with these cars is heat. and as an owner, you're constantly just trying to do all you can to drop that heat. thats why replacing the downpipe, upgrading the intercooler, replacing the vacuum hosings because the rubber hardens and cracks are all considered reliabilitiy mods.
its hard to say what money was spent on upgrades and what on maintenance, because a lot of the mods that were done were not done for power upgrades, but for reliability, with power gains as an additional plus ^_^ but if you were to ask me the minimum i could have spent to keep this car running safely, it wouldnt have been 15k, itd probably be more like 5k.

www.rx7club.com ....theres some crap on the forum, but theres also tons of useful information also, and itd be wise for any potential rx7 owner to go through all the pages and learn what they're getting into before they actually take the plunge. i spent a good 6, 7 months on there soaking up information first
