Can't use stock rings according to Race Eng...

That was one of my questions when i ordered my internals from Race Eng. They confirmed that I can't use the stock rings...I bought the ones they recommended (not totalseal...heard bad things about them) I'll look what brand when I get home if you want.

Also...anyone know any further mods to make while the engine is apart?? I've heard not to shim the spring in the oilpump as the pressures are already high...any ideas on changes in the waterpump to prevent cavitation at high rpms? Also, opinions on knife-edging the crank...good/bad? IIRC I heard something about it not being good on a f/i application.
