You may have electrical problems if your wires are getting burnt. I know the exhaust wrap will lower the under hood temps some, but the wires and battery shouldn't have burnt or blown up. A loose wire can heat up and draw more amperage than normal without blowing a fuse. As for why those things are happenning, I don't think it is turbo related. The turbo and mani can get red hot, but if I remember correctly, the f-max manifold and downpipe aren't as close to the alt and AC comp as a drag kit. Check all the electrical connections, and maybe the stereo amplifier power wires (if so equipped). Unless the wires are in contact with the DP, they shouldn't be getting burnt..... Let us know what other variables you have, stereo wise or modifications to the f-max kit.....

Was it the brake light only? Did the abs light come on as well?
