fuel pump and under the hood temp

I recently bought a F-max turbo kit for my 98 prelude. I was wondering if any of you guys have an upgraded fuel pump. If so please reply with the brand and part number. Also when I installed the turbo I noticed that my under the hood temp increased as well as my oil temp, however my water temp stayed fine. My problem is that one day when I was driving my battery and brake light came on. I thought it was a loose wire so I pulled over. When I looked under the hood, I noticed that my battery blew up. So I picked up an optima gel battery and a new alternator. 1 week after the new alternator was in my battery and brake light came on again, I checked the battery voltage and it was only at 11. I looked at the new alternator and the wires looked fried. So does any one have any ideas about keeping the under the hood temp down or keeping the alternator cool. I wrapped my exhast manifold and down pipe with defi exhast wrap. Hopefully this will help. Any ideas will be helpful. Thanks
