I had to order a new axle as well but I ordered a brand new one for about $70 shipped from autopartswarehouse.com and I din't have to return a core. Now I've just got to replace the passenger side with a new one instead of the ramanufactured one I just put in <500 miles ago... (It's already vibrating)
The one I bought also has a 7 year/70,000 mile warranty!! Not bad for $70... |
No one ever actually looks in that forum, and how ofter do axle questions come up? Weekly?
I just got fed up with replacing parts store axles . . . sometimes they are shot as soon as they go on the car. Sure, you may have a warranty, but it's still a pain in the ass. For me, the peace of mind is worth the price.
