Product Review: Raxles (axles)

One of my inboard CV joints has been bad for months, causing a really bad vibration under acceleration. After replacing both sides with parts store remnaufactured units ($60 each) and having little/no improvement, I decided to bite the bullet and order units from www.raxles.com.

I think I paid ~$130 each, which INCLUDES pre-paid shipping labels to return your used cores. They arrived very quickly, and Marty at raxles was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with. The units came packaged VERY well, my set was double-boxed. The raxles are definitley nicer than the remanufactured units I've installed in the past: the CV boots are MUCH thicker and nicer, they use Amsoil grease, the inner/outter joints look to be of higher quality, and all the splines and threads are free from nicks or defects. Also included was some disposable gloves and rags for the install, and directions from my house to the nearest UPS drop center for return of the cores . . . great service.

I got the new axles installed, and it feels like a new car. I'm probably just used to the bad axle vibration at this point, but I dont remember the car ever feeling this smooth in ~40,000 of ownership. Overall, I'm very satisfied and comfortable with the price increase for these units and would recomend them to anyone.
