The enclosure itself is not intricate. Its just a box, basically. A simple cabinet with a removable top and one shelf inside. To build your own, just make some sketches, then get some cardboard or foamcore and duct tape and build a few models to see how it looks in the car. Next, build another model with wood,etc, something easy to work, keep at it until you've something you like.
The computer part, and deciding exactly what I want to do with it, has been the more difficult part.
