Thanks for the advice guys, I decided to go ahead and lower it and decide afterwards what the next step is.

Me and buddy knocked out the rears today in about 2 hours and that included a lot of wasted time and a few struggles with rusty cotter pins that broke before we got them out. Tomorrow we'll finish up the job with the front end. I have a little touching up to do on my wheels before I take pics (running stock wheels at the moment), but the car already looks 100x better!
