i think you may just have to launch it at every red light if you don't want to stall. i had the CM stage 5, which i think was also very driveable. it chattered quite a bit, but it wasn't quite on/off as what you're talking about. it was easy to learn after a couple days of using it. the pedal pressure wasn't much more than stock either. but it grabbed when you needed it to. i doubt i'd recommend it though. i was looking at the tilton also, but this is my daily driver, and that doesn't sound very comfortable for traffic. (launching every 12 seconds to move 2 cars up.)
