For whatever it's worth, I pulled out the headliner and completely tied up, strapped down, taped and glued the sh|t out of everything up there 3 times . . . . ticking didn't go away.
I finally "gave up" and bought one of those $6 foam camping pads from Wal-mart - cut out two pieces that would fit on either side of the center clip in the headliner, and stuffed them as far back as I could get them from the rear moonroof seam. Ticking gone.
