I wouldn't use the spec-vrs on the street. You CAN, but it's not recommended. Although it's designed to be better than other race pads for for cold performance and wear, it's still not recommended.

It's not much more to just get a set of stock pads. This is what I do.
For the front, I use stock pads, stock rotors. For the rear I use cobalt GT-Sport with stock rotors. When I go to the track I take 20 minutes to change out the front for spec-VR and autozone rotors. It really helps with headaches and hassles over the long run to have a seperate track pad/rotors.
