um, just do what i did and get a replacement pipe with a cat on it. you can just switch em out. that way you will have a cat when you need one and net more than 10 because you wont have a cat still in the mix.
I suppose the answer to your second question depends on what setup you are running. with a turbo you want all that crap out of there but with an all motor you do still want some back pressure. Then again, if you were all motor you shouldnt be running 3in piuping.
yes, the ecs adds a bunch when its open.

P.S. i thought i was the only person who said boo boo. hahaha
