Isnt the stock intake pretty much cold air?? the way it's designed?? The air piping isnt short... Like some vehicles... And then the resonator has a butterfly valve that closes one side of the resonator at low rpms, for torque, then opens both for high rpms for top end.. Smart design if u ask me.. But to each his own.. I tried both and like the type S. my car hasnt felt this responsive and smooth in years.. I did comtemplate making an air box around the short ram.. but to me that's just about the same as removing the resonator with the stock intake filter sucking air right in the hole where the resonator and air filter box connect.. My car felt "hesitant" before with the short ram.. SPECIALLY on HOT days
