i took a look at meguiars website and from what i read it seems like the clay bar is a detailing tool, it is meant to be used on areas that have visible gunk, and the paint cleaning thing is used for the rest of the car? i think its a bad idea to rub a piece of clay that has gunk embeded in it on the surface of the car.
