For me it was a matter of tightening it down until it stopped leaking. As long as you are using the bottom washer supplied by JR, that tab on the banjo shouldn't be a problem. I was really concerned about overtightening it. I went into the house, and my dad gave a good tug on it behind my back and it stopped leaking. I have no idea how tight it is, but it's alot tighter than the 16 ftlbs called for in the Helm.
