Titanium is about 30% lighter that steel for the same strength, has better corrosion resistance than stainless, and has better temperature resistance up to about 300C (but is almost half as stiff). It should make for an excellent exhaust system, and it is a sexy material, but these are general statements about titanium, not about the exhaust system. Does Tanabe say how much the whole thing weighs? It would be nice to have numbers to go along with some of the adjectives used in their product description.
It bugs me that manufacturers don't offer much in the way of hard data/numbers on the stuff they make. If they did, we wouldn't be guessing so much and spending so much.
Wouldn't it be nice to have the weight, audio spectrum and decibles readings -vs- rpm, and measured flow characteristics of an exhaust system before you bought one?
Anyway, sounds like a great exhaust system, in principle, unless it is as loud as noted above.
