Trust me, base models can do this too, without ATTS. I accidentally did this at a driving school (Evolution Autox school, its great, take one if you ever get a chance!) while trying to find the best way to get off the line. This was my first time autocrossing the Prelude, and my first time trying to launch a manual transmission car. Anyway, I left two nice even black marks off the line. I think I had the car at about 4k RPM and dumped it. I wont do that again though, had some wheel hop. I just laughed when the instructor pointed it out to me when I was working the course by the line.
