the H4s are your outer bulbs (not to be confused with corner bulbs), the H1s are the ones closest to your nose vents, on the inside of the headlight. Yeah, normally on the H4, one filament lights up (on mine, and many other's for instance), what makes the second filament light up as well is twice the power, or, for instance, wiring the high beam wire on your car's harness to the second positive wire on the bulb plug, so when you turn your regular headlights on, 1 filament lights up, then high beam, and you now have twice the power running into one bulb, which causes the second filament to light up. How does the switch look? Take a pic if you have a camera, but yeah, I know that having switches that do nothing looks bad, but I'm all for removing it. Where exactly is it located in the cabin?
