The clutch master cylinders do develop a leak sometimes, I had to replace mine. It's cool that he did the labor for free, because you could have easily installed one yourself (like I did). I've only paid for a clutch install, everything else I do myself because I don't trust mechanics. They won't tell you what they mess up, and then if stuff breaks later they blame it on you anyway! Your clutch was probably still okay, but it never hurts to have a new one. At least you had gotten a fair amount of mileage out of it. I replaced mine at 85,000 and the disk still looked great, but the car drove a lot better afterwards so I didn't waste my money. I'm sure when you get your car back you'll be happy, all of the parts you replaced typically cause problems on the Prelude anyway so don't feel like you wasted your money.
