Well I think the 4th gen USDM vtecs are H22A1 and the 5th gens from the US are H22A5 or something like that.

When they are JDM they don't have numbers at the end..for example H22A, B16A....etc..If the engine code has a nubmer at the end than it's a US spec engine.

As for your question...I think you can if you get the base model engine. I don't see why but that's my opinion.
