Electroluminescent Gauge Swap (Revision)
I've revised my write up several times since the first time I drew it all out a few years ago, and figured I'd post it up, making it easier for those in the future who want to do this swap.
Looking at the back of the gauges, there are 5 harness clips, they are read from left to right as H, J, K, L, M. Clips K and L are used for the inverter, there is no wiring needed there. The wires are numbered from left to right as well, so wire 1, on clip H would be the very left most wire on the gauge set. Here is the wiring diagram:
H Clip :
1- Yellow (Power)
2- Pink (Speedometer)
3- Yellow (Power)
4- Red/Black (Dimmer, do not connect if you want full bright)
5- Black (Ground)
6- Orange
7- No wire
8- Run a wire to one of the constant power pin outs on the under dash fuse box. There's 4, they're just above and to the left of the main 'block' of fuses. (Gauge Memory / Trip Mileage Memory)
9- Red/Yellow (High Beam/Blinker)
10- No wire
J Clip:
1- No wire
2- No wire
3- No wire
4- Green/Yellow (High Beam/Blinker)
5- Red/Blue (High Beam/Blinker)
M Clip:
1- Blue/Silver Dots (Tachometer)
2- Black (Ground)
3- Red/Yellow (High Beam/Blinker)
4- Green/Blue (High Beam/Blinker)
5- Blue (S.R.S.)
Questions, comments, problems, I'm always here to help.
