I think you meant to say SPDT? (there is no such thing as SDPT). The SPDT has less connectors. It has 5 to be exact. Two for the coil, and 3 for the switches.
If you're only gonna tap the BAT and ST wires you need a
SPST relay. It has 4 prongs.
No the immobilizer hasn't been effected. The car works the same way in all ways.
