No, my cooler setup never had a thermostat, which is one reason it has not been reinstalled. I bought the JR cooler kit, and regret it now. Too expensive, overall poor quality, no thermostat. For the cost of the JR kit, I could have pieced together my own oil cooler setup of comparable quality with a thermostat. (When referring to thermostat in this thread, I'm talking about an oil system thermostat, not about the one in the engine coolant system although that did get replaced in my setup, as well.)
