I had to remove the oil cooler after the line busted (of course). After I removed it, I learned of the need of a thermostat. The expense of new stainless braided hoses and a thermostat, and the effort of purchasing what I needed and reinstalling it all got the better of me, so the oil cooler hasn't yet made it back on. I question my own need for it (it is just a street car, I don't run it at the track), and I am concerned about the pressure drop involved. If this was a turbo setup, I would want to run one (turbo heats the oil up).
