Funky boost problem
Background: F22 bone stock, drag II kit. Fuel pump, FMU. Running super rich. 3" exhaust, test pipe, running 5psi
Sometimes (not all the time), when im boosting, the car quits making power and actually slows down. A/F on stock oxygen sensor reads rich (of course).
Scenario 1 - cold night, running 80 on the interstate. Any time i would give it any gas to pass cars, it would spool up, but immediatly after starting to boost, the engine's power seems to die.
Scenario 2 - at the track. ran a 15.7, then a 16.6 Did the same exact thing, i just couldnt make any power.
My friend with a 5th gen/greddy kit 8psi is having the same exact problems. Any ideas? Could it be just running way too rich? Hopefully ill have a wideband before too long.
